Abstract
This study aimed to describe one of the alternative forms of measurement instruments in high school math competency. One of the assumptions in item response theory (IRT) is the responses given by the examinees on test items are free of locally independence. However, the previous studies have shown that many test current local grains that contain dependence. Although local dependence is not expected in the IRT, but there is an important reason for entering the items each dependence on an assessment. Many real problems require settlement related to the issue or problem solving in a single step by step manner. Usage-based scoring testlet can minimize the negative consequences of dependence this item.
