Abstract
Performing arts is an interaction and collaboration of several people. This interaction produces a work of art that can be sensed, that is to be seen and heard. One of the Balinese performing arts is the art of Bondres, which was originally a part of other arts such as masks, prembon, drama gong and others. The development of the art of bondres is very rapid. This happened because the art of bondres was very liked by the audience. The art of bondres is no longer a part of other arts, in fact, it has been able to stand alone in its appearance. The art of bondres today is the development of the art of bondres by utilizing technological advances, working patterns and imagination. The aesthetic communication of contemporary bondres performing in the form of jokes that are fresh, interesting and entertaining. In addition to entertaining, it is also able to emphasize the principles, such as traditional ethics, religious rituals, social life, economics, and others. The socio-cultural behavior that is in accordance with logic is also a display material with the success of the joke.
