Abstract

Values Character education becomes an important capital facing the Society in the Global Era. Character education that emphasizes manners, behavior, manners, respect and mutual respect. At least, should be inculcated by the supervising teacher in providing services to students in schools to have a strong and qualified education character. The BK program at the school is very competent in instilling the values of education of the nation's karakater among students at school. Schools and all school residents including counselors have a shared responsibility to shape the character of the students as the nation's successor. The essence of the challenge in guidance and counseling professionals lies in strengthening the identity of the guidance and counseling profession itself. Identity crisis will create difficulties in stabilizing professional performance among people who are following the world of guidance and counseling. The value of the character is the precondition value for character education, so that based on the values of the character an individual will proceed in character education. These values are not taught but developed through the learning process, meaning that the material values of the character is not a regular material, but can be developed through the process of internalization through the learning process. Character building through environmental factor engineering can be done through strategies: (1) exemplary, (2) intervention, (3) consistent habituation, and (4) reinforcement. Characters have different components that can shape individual behavioral configurations. The components in character are: (a). Spiritual and emotional development, (b) intellectual development, (c) Physical and kinestetic development, and (d) Affective and Creativity development.
