Abstract

Abstract In the reform era of development still focuses on the development of institutions, but still not able to make mental changes in society. In other words development is still limited as "institutionalization without internalization". For example, in electoral politics systems have used democratic methods but have not succeeded in instilling real democratic values in society. The Indonesian nation no longer implements a militaristic system of government, but it still maintains a culture of violence even among students and schools of students and religious organizations. In the government has strengthened the institutionalization of Corruption Commission (KPK), but corrupt attitudes remain rampant both from the Executive, Judiciary and Legislature from the top to bottom levels, from the center to the regions, making it difficult to organize the eradication of Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism. The Mental Revolution does not mean to build mental characteristics through formal and non formal education, such a s those held by the New Order Government, Pancasila Education and Practice (P4), but these efforts need to be socially, systematically, systematically, holistic and socially sustainable by increasing economic growth alone. The concept of Mental Revolution that Mr. Jokowi threw in was widely accepted in the community. That means the people recognize that the mental or character of the Indonesian nation is experiencing a crisis or serious degradation and needs to be repaired even with a revolutionary action. Mental Revolution is a fundamental political determination and is paradigmatic that wants to dismantle and make changes to the old development paradigm into a better social development paradigm with the foundation that is on the pattern of thinking Trisakti: sovereign in politics, Self-reliant in economy, and Character. Implementation of the formation of Task Force of Mental Revolution, through 3 groups, namely Indonesia serve, Indonesia clean and Indonesia orderly. Mental Revolution in the assimilation of nationality is a process of unification / assimilation of various aspects of mental, social culture into the unity of the territory of the formation of national identity or nation. The national identity is the identity of the Indonesian nation, which consists of various tribes, races, customs, religions and cultures. The national identity can be seen from the deepest inner circle, within the human being followed by a second circle of characters, and the outward circle of personality in which there is an element of identity. It is this identity element that a person displays as an instrument to recognize and judge his character. The identity of the nation can be interpreted as the totality of the appearance of the whole nation by getting the content of the community, so as to distinguish our nation with other nations. Keywords: Mental Revolution; National Assimilation; and Mental Revolution Task Force, namely Indonesia serve, Indonesia clean and Indonesia orderly.
