Abstract

Abstract The paper was intended to break down the problematic discrepancy children (Balinese) with its environment. Many lexicon in Balinese story that represent ecolinguistics failed to be understood by children. As a result, cognitive knowledge Balinese story be memorized with minimal (even without) appreciation. Lexicon ecolinguistics fonotatic not merely as a symbolic representation of the network referential but natural life in the law of causality successive frames. Ecolinguistics lexicon options in Balinese story can be interpreted as the wisdom of the environment by the older generation who want to be imparted to young people and children. To unravel these problems, the data were collected from a number Balinese stories which have become the 'property of' the people of Bali. The collected data are analyzed in a phenomenological so that the meaningfulness of the functional use of the ecolinguistics lexicon can be explained .Based on the method above: (1) in Balinese stories widely used lexicon that have semantic field ecolinguistics; (2) The majority of children (Balinese) do not know ecolinguistics reference lexicon used in Balinese story that causes discrepancy with the environment. Therefore, concrete efforts revitalization and ecolinguistics lexicon adaptation used in Balinese story. That efforts are expected to raise awareness of children about the environment that is now in the paradoxical condition.
