Abstract
During this time, teachers apply lecture and question and answer method in teaching drama appreciation. The result, the ability to play drama is still low. Therefore, teachers implementing cooperative method jigsaw type to improve the ability to play drama. The purpose of this study is to improve student's ability to play drama the students of class XI science 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sukawati with the application of Cooperative Learning jigsaw type. The design of this implementation uses a class action research. The research was planned two cycles with the stages of planning, implementation and reflection observations. Data collected by testing and observation method. From the results of data analysis found that the application of the type of jigsaw cooperative learning can enhance student's ability to play drama in class XI IPA 2 SMA N I Sukawati Academic Year 2010/2011.
