Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of increasing learning outcomes for civic courses by applying the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) type cooperative learning model for VII semester students of FPBS IKIP PGRI Bali. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were students of semester VII FPBS IKIPPGRI Bali Academic Year 2019/2020. The object of research is the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model and the learning outcomes of civic courses. Data collection methods are test, observation, and documentation methods. In the initial reflection of the achievement of the minimum completeness criteria as many as 20 students who completed and 18 students who did not complete, with an average student learning outcomes of 70.56 and 70.56% absorption. In the first cycle, the average student learning outcomes are 71.58, the absorption capacity is 71.58%, and the percentage of student activities is 51.12%, which is quite active. In the second cycle the average results of student learning outcomes 80.92 absorption of 80.92%, and the percentage of student activity of 63% is classified as active. The results of the CAR show that the application of the STAD learning model can improve the learning outcomes of VII semester semester students of FPBS IKIP PGRI Bali Academic Year 2019/2020.
