Abstract

Aud Kélor's short story is one of the modern Balinese short stories that reveals the complex social reality of Balinese society and the impact of the community is less aware. However, this reality is still a polemic in Balinese life. The purpose of this research is to describe the structure, description of social reality, and the author's views on the social reality of Balinese society in the short stories of Aud Kélor. The theory used in this research is genetic structuralism. This research is a qualitative research, using literature study and interview methods. The results of this study, namely (1) the structure of each short story has a relationship between elements, namely intrinsic and extrinsic, (2) the collection of short stories by Aud Kélor depicting legal reality, exploitation of families and animals, sale of inherited land, as well as dogmatism and materialism of Balinese society. , and (3) the author's view of the social reality of Balinese society is largely a form of social criticism of phenomena in society.
